CIMA Exemptions ...
If you have already studied a relevant degree or qualification, you may be entitled to some exemptions from CIMA exams under one of the routes listed below.
Exemptions are awarded only at CIMA’s discretion. CIMA can NOT grant exemptions until you are a registered student.
Accredited degree accelerated route You are a graduate with a qualification listed on CIMA's database of CIMA Accredited programmes.
Relevant degree accelerated route
You are a graduate of a degree programme that is not on CIMA's database, but is related to the CIMA syllabus.
You are a graduate of a degree programme that is not on CIMA's database, but is related to the CIMA syllabus.
AAT accelerated routeYou are an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) student or member.
Open University accelerated route
You have completed the Open University Certificate in Accounting.
You have completed the Open University Certificate in Accounting.
CMGA accelerated route
You have an MBA.
You have an MBA.
CPGA accelerated route You are a member or passed finalist of ICWAI or you are a member of ICMAP.
Professional qualification accelerated routeYou are studying or have completed a relevant qualification with another professional body.
